Class 3 mobility scooters are scooters which can travel at speeds over 4mph and upto 8mph. A class 3 mobility scooter must have a hi / low cut off switch which can limit the scooter to a maximum speed of 4mph. When using any mobility scooter on the pavement the maximum speed legally allowed is 4mph and then when the scooter is used on the road the speed can increase up to 8mph.
Pro Rider mobility have introduced 2 types of class 3 mobility scooters. The C3 Deluxe 6mph mobility scooter and the Road King 8mph mobility scooter. Both of these scooters have front and rear lights, full indicators and hazard lights as well as the hi / low switch facility.
The Road King mobility scooter has become the fastest selling class 3 scooter within the UK over the last 12 months. This rise to fame is mainly due to the extreme high quality of the mobility scooter as well as the lowest possible price. The Road King mobility scooter can be viewed and tested at the Leicester Mobility showroom on Chestnut Avenue in Oadby. Look out for the Pro Rider Mobility sign.
Class 3 mobility scooters give the extra power and speed that is required to cope with road use. A class 3 mobility scooter has to be registered with the DVLA and the user then receives a free tax disc each year. It is free to register a class 3 mobility scooter and each year the renewed tax disc is automatically sent out by the DVLA with no charge to the user.
